New Features Increase Time and Budget Tracking for Projects, Tasks

It has been a busy couple of weeks for Slenke. We are happy to announce three new features to help you better track and organize your time, budget, and projects. These features, which will be outlined below, are as follows: time tracking for tasks, recurring time budgets for projects, and reports pages for projects.

Time Tracking for Tasks

The new time tracking for tasks feature will allow you to track time for a specific task within the project activity page. You will be able to see how much time has been spent on the individual task. You are also able to track time for the sub-tasks of the main task. The feature allows you to choose the date, the hours worked on the task, and the activity performed. There is also a section to write notes for the tracked time.

To find the new feature, select or create a task. Then, once inside the task page, the feature will be found in a drop-down under “Tracked Time.”

Recurring Time Budgets for Projects

The recurring time budgets for projects feature allows you to track how much time and money has been spent on an activity and set a recurring schedule for that activity. This will allow for monthly, weekly, and yearly time budgeting for recurring activities in any given project.

To find this new feature, click on “Reports” in the main navigation bar. In the list of projects, under “Managers,” there will be two arrows. Click that to reveal the report for the project. “Tracked Time by Activity” will be shown at the bottom of the report. You can also find this by going into a specific project and clicking “Reports” in the project’s navigation bar.

New Reports Page for Projects

As introduced above, each project now has a reports page that breaks down the project costs, tracked time, and budgets. Only the project manager can access the reports. The new reports page, which can also be found the same way as you find the “Tracked Time by Activity” section, covers such things as the project budget, cost, and remaining budget.

The reports also break down the tasks by status (e.g. open, in progress, etc) and the tasks by users. Tracked time by activity and tracked time by users can be found at the bottom.
